Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
COMMERCIAL PILOT: AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE (ATPL)
Do you want to become a pilot? Executive Flight Academy offers the most competitive commercial pilot training course in the Netherlands. (Enitirely EASA approved of course) We do this in the Benelux so you do not need to travel to distant places with huge visa procedures, high additional costs for travel and accommodation and very steep conversion costs of up to 15,000,- Euro to finally obtain your European EASA ATPL license. This reduces your risks, now you do not have to wait and see in a far away location whether you’ll get proper flight training.
We have really done everything to minimise the costs of your pilot study. You can join at any time at and start or stop without delay. You can read more about this on the “why us?” page. To become a professional pilot, you need approximately 18-24 months. This depends on your availability, commitment and aptitude.
Read our unique flight training Wiki, the only place in NL where all EASA regulations are briefly and concisely summarized for all types of pilot training!
Our modular ATPL airline pilot training is set up in a very flexible way and your personal training is tailor-made so you can combine your flying lessons with a 2nd study or work and family in our flight school, if you choose the part-time variant. Our flight training philosophy is truly revolutionary and is characterised by a very friendly approach and personal attention where needed while at the same time we let you do as much as possible yourself. This way of working builds charcter and cuts a lot of cost. You’l leave the flying school with a so-called “frozen ATPL” license. That is a Commercial pilot license with a Multi-Engine Piston Instrument Rating, a Multi-Crew Coordination Course and the ATPL theory certificate. This allows you to apply everywhere as First-Officer (FO). Once you work at an airline, where you accumulate he required experience criteria and after completing a skill test, you’ll be awarded your full ATPL pilot license. Check also our separate modular ATPL theory course.
Airline Transport Pilot Training (ATPL): € 58.504
We have made every effort to minimize the prices of airline pilot training ATPL.

- You can start or stop at any time. We plan your training on an individual basis.

Training overview EASA-ATPL
You start immediately with the practical flying lessons during the theory training. We believe this increases motivation and the conceptualisation of our PPL and ATPL students. During the frozen ATPL flight training you go through the following stages:
- Meeting
- Intake
- Assessment (Optional, not included)
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL) 45 hours
- Pilot In Command (PIC) “hour building” 90 hours + ATPL theory 65 contact hours (Distance Learning) or 650 hours (Class) + Night Qualification (NQ) 5 hours
- Single Engine Instrument Rating (IR) 50 hours. 35 in the simulator and 15 in flight
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) 15 hours
- Multi Engine Piston rating VFR and IFR (MEP) 11 hours
- In a combined CPL-MEP-IR training these 3 aforementioned ratings may possibly be simultaneously done in a curtailed course on a DA-42 twin-engine plane & Simulator at the same low price but in a much shorter time frame and with only one exam.
- Multi Crew Coordination Course (MCC) 20 hours
- Jet Orientation Course (JOC) 10 hours (Optional, not included)
Your efforts per course result in a separate pilot license or rating.
The theoretical training for the commercial pilot license at Executive Flight Academy is a unique combination of distance learning and classroom instruction with individual Homework Support (HWS) and so-called “brush-up courses” where we combine the “best of both worlds”.
EFA uses the online digital classroom of Scandinavian Airline Academy (SAA) so you can do an enormous amount of work in your own time at home while a team of specialist Ground Instructors can answer any question within 48 hours. We can thus reduce the number of classroom teaching hours from 650 to 65. Calculate the profit in money, time, travel and accommodation! Click here for more info about our unique ATPL theory course.
