For PPL / RPL students there are only medical requirements
For ATPL / CPL students Executive Flight Academy wants to make sure that the applicants personality and flight aptitude are compatible with the demands of the airlines so these students need to do a full assessment with both EFA and an independent testing agency specialised in flight aptitude tests. We use an independent agency because we want to have an impartial result, free of economic interest. (See Why us?)
Furthermore, ATPL & CPL applicants need to satisfy the following general pre-entry requirements:
Fluent in Dutch and/or English
Age
-Minimum 17 years old at the start of the training
-Maximum 35 years old at the start of training (If you desire a career as an Air Traffic Pilot)
Please note: For other aviation careers like air-taxi pilot or flight-instructor there are no set age limits
Medical Length between 157,5 cm and 203 cm If you are taller then 190,5 cm, your maximum leg length is 130 cm Wearing glasses is no problem at all for commercial pilots, only for jetfighters However, maximum correction is +/- 6. Severe colour blindness is also problem Please note: Exercise the utmost caution with laser treatments for your eyes as this treatment can disqualify you!
The Aero Medical examination is compulsory for every pilot. The initial examination takes half a day and costs € 250 tot € 350,- If you are in doubt contact our Student consultancy people

Assessment Our grading has 4 stages:
Stage 1: Personal interview. You will have a chat with 2 of our senior team members. We will look at your personality, flight aptitude and above all your motivation. We also look at potential pittfalls like medical background, criminal record etc.
Stage 2: (Flight) aptitude test Compass, DLR. Possibly also in conjunction with IQ, Science, spacial awareness & memory tests. Includes an English language test
Stage 3: Aeromedical Class 1 (ATPL, CPL, IR) or class 2 (RPL, PPL)
Stage 4: Introductory Flight You will fly one hour with one of our Senior Instructors in order to see if flying is really something for you.
After all stages complete, we will evaluate your results in a personal meeting
