Instrument Rating Multi Engine Rating Night Qualification
Executive Flight Academy offers a complete range of competitively priced rating courses that can be taken either stand-alone or as a part of our full ATPL Airline Transport Pilot programme. Our flightschool can also help you to extend your PPL, CPL licence and to revalidate your Multi Engine- or Instrument Rating with a so called proficiency check or profcheck.
Instrument Rating
The JAA Instrument Rating course trains candidates for IFR flight in so called "instrument meteorological conditions" in controlled airspace. This is flight without sight on terrain or other aircraft in close collaboration with Air traffic control or ATC. Only when the aircraft is at a set altitude above the runway during the approach the pilot is required to see the actual runway. This decision altitude varies between 0 and 100 meters depending on plane, pilot and equipment.
Please note: Our flight training locations are relatively quiet regional airports with very good IFR and night VFR possibilities. All landing fees are subscription based and already included in the flying lessons or aircraft rental price. This makes Executive Flight Academy a competitive and fast option to get your ratings. Many training facilities in Holland, and indeed in Europe, are located far away from regional IFR airports which have available slots for instrument flight training. These fields charge very high pay-per-landing fees, especially for Instrument and Night approaches. Night VFR is not allowed in Holland and many other countries. Since it is a compulsory part of commercial flight training this is forcing you to go abroad while the meter is running... Our "approach" will therefore save you thousands of euro's during your flying lessons or commercial flight training. See our Prices page for more interesting information about "hidden" extra cost components.
Single Engine Instrument Rating
Before you can start your JAA SEP (Single Engine Piston) of Multi Engine Piston (MEP) Instrument Rating (IR) you need to comply with these pre-entry requirements .
The SEP / IR training can be done on Mooney, a Cessna 182RG or a TB-10. MEP /IR courses are given on the DA42 TwinStar with Garmin G1000 EFIS glass cockpit. Both flying courses are leaning heavily on our Simulators in order to speed up the training proces whilst lowering costs for our flight training students.
The course completion consists of a trial IR examination flight followed by a formal skillstest with an examiner.
* Additional dual flying hours you might require will be invoiced according to our pricelist
Duration
The flight training can be taken either full-time or part-time. The full-time programme takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks depending on the weather, your availability and flight aptitude. Prices
