I do not have the diploma’s or majors above. What now? Can I forget it? No! If all other aptitude tests are OK and if you are motivated we will work with you to get to the required level before you start.
Are there any girls that want to become a pilot? Ofcourse! At least 10-20% of our students are female today and their numbers are rapidly rising!
Is this a difficult study? When your aptitude score’s are accepted and you are motivated, you should be able to complete the course.
What are the age limits? Minimum 17 years old at the start of the training Maximum 35 years old at the start of training (If you desire a career as an Air Traffic Pilot) Please note: For other aviation careers like air-taxi pilot or flight-instructor there are nno set age limits.
What do I need to do to be able to start? Our grading has 4 stages:
Stage 1: Personal interview. You will have a chat with 2 of our senior team members. We will look at your personality, flight aptitude and above all your motivation. We also look at potential pittfalls like medical background, criminal record etc.
Stage 2: (Flight) aptitude test Compass, DLR. Possibly also in conjunction with IQ, Science, spacial awareness & memory tests. Includes an English language test.
Stage 3: Aeromedical Class 1 (ATPL, CPL, IR) or class 2 (RPL, PPL)
Stage 4: Introductory Flight
After all completed we will evaluate your results in a personal meeting.
Where will I do my medical? Best price is in Brussels, Belgium
I carry glasses. Is that a problem? Wearing glasses is no problem at all for commercial pilots, only for jetfighters. However, maximum correction is +/- 6. Severe colour blindness is also problem. Please note: Exercise the utmost caution with laser treatments for your eyes as this treatment can disqualify you!
I am 2.01 meters tall, will you accept me? Length between 157,5 cm and 203 cm. If you are longer then 190,5 cm, your maximum leg length is 130 cm.
When can I start my training with EFA? Unlike elsewhere you can start anytime you like. No waiting!
How long does it take to become a pilot? Between 18-24 months depending on your chosen training location, aptitude, motivation and the weather.
Where will I live? Depending on your chosen training location either at home or in our affordable and clean housing in Europe or the US in a friendly, guarded environment which is available for our students for the full duration of your selected course.
How on earth can I afford this? There are finance possibilities. ABN AMRO Bank p.e. is specialized in aviation student loans. We strongly advise you to do our full aptitude test before you commit.
